The AWS NCCL plugin for OFI is covered by the Apache License, Version 2.0

A copy of the license can also be found in the LICENSE file in he aws-offi-nccl GitHub repository.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider aws-ofi-nccl/<version>.

EasyConfig:

• EasyConfig aws-ofi-nccl-1.18.0-rocm.eb, will build aws-ofi-nccl/1.18.0-rocm

• EasyConfig aws-ofi-nccl-1.20.0-rocm.eb, will build aws-ofi-nccl/1.20.0-rocm

  This EasyConfig is meant to be used in the ccpe/26.03 container on LUMI before the January 2027 system update and may need changes after that update.

Technical documentation

This plugin is the successor the aws-ofi-rccl plugin, with the same code now supporting both NCCL and RCCL.

EasyBuild

The EasyConfigs build on the ones LUST developed for aws-ofi-rccl.

The critical element is to figure out which versions of the plugin work with which versions of libfabric.

1.18.0

The EasyConfig is a LUST development, suited for the system after the January 2026 system update.

1.20.0

• Straightforward version bump of the 1.18.0 EasyConfig.

• Tested with the 26.03 ccpe container after the January 2026 system update and may no longer work after the January 2027 system update as libfabric may be updated.
